Stunning, athletic and gentle stallion from 2017 with some very exciting dutch bloodlines. He provides a great ride-ability and has a work ethic to die for. He will be aimed for a dressage career but shows great potential for showjumping too which he absolutely loves! ZEST FOR LIFE had a 100% conception rate in 2022.
Sired by WHS Hokita (previously Zorro LG) who has an impressive lineup of well known dressage horses behind him. He also comes from the same dam-line as dutch stallion Next Level
His sire is Glock's Dream Boy N.O.P. (ridden by Holland's Hans Peter Minderhoud), who has been a contender at the Tokyo Olympics, World Cup winner in Mechelen as well as awarded horse of the Month from FEI (February 2019)
Dream Boy won silver in the 2017 Dutch Dressage Championships Small Tour and in 2018, he was on the Dutch team that took victory in the Nations Cup of CHIO Rotterdam and second place in the Grand Prix Special.
In 2014, as a six-year-old he won a bronze medal at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for young Horses in Verden. He was second in the 2014 KWPN Stallion competition. Glock's Dream Boy N.O.P. is a sought after stallion in both Holland and Germany and brings together the most important Dutch stallion bloodlines and is one of the most popular stallions in the Netherlands.
Dream Boy was the first KWPN-licensed son of Vivaldi in this sought-after black colouration who, in turn, embodied the bloodlines of the famous stallions Krack C and Jazz in his ancestry.
Vivaldi is one of the most popular and influential Dutch stallions in international dressage horse breeding his most successful offspring include Desperado (Emmelie Scholtens), Dream Boy (Hans Peter Minderhoud), Expression (Diederik van Silfhout), Blue Hors Veneziano (Agnete Kirk Thinggaard), Chinook (Richard Howley), Cennin (Madeleine Witte-Vrees), and Vitalis (Isabel Freese).
Vivaldi is by Krack C and with Jazz as damsire.
Dream Boy's damsire, Ferro, is the father of Edward Gal’s famous Olympic horse, GLOCK’s Undercover, and grandfather (via Negro) of the Olympic winner, Valegro.
As a three-year-old, Ferro was champion of his performance test at Ermelo. Ferro is also the grand sire of Uthopia (Metall) who achieved team gold at both the 2010 European Championships and 2012 London Olympic Games. Ferro also sired Rousseau, the champion of the three-year-old stallions at s'Hertogenbosch in 2000, as well as the stallions Negro, Metall, and Rhodium. The champion three year old mare at Ermelo in 2000 was an Olympic Ferro daughter.
WHS Hokita's damsire is the keur stallion Havidoff who reached GP in Holland. Havidoff is also the damsire of Desperado and Havidoff is closely linked with Everdales Great Granddam Ilya (full siblings, she was awarded Ster, Preferent, Prestatie).
Zest For Life's dam Didansa (imported from Holland) combine San Remo and Lancet.
Damsire San Remo was ridden by Edward Gal in Holland and under Edward Gal the black stallion finished fifth in the 2004 Pavo Cup Finals for 4-year olds. He was also third in the 2003-2004 KWPN Stallion competition circuit. The horse qualified for the 2004 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where he finished 16th in the consolation finals. In 2004-2005 KWPN Stallion Competition he finished second overall. San Remo sired two (!) KWPN Elite Mare Champion (2006: Wiona Utopia who is a maternal sister to Vivaldi and 2011: D.Obertje).

San Remo's sire Wolkentanz I is one of the successful sons of the legendary sire Weltmeyer is the chestnut stallion Wolkentanz. He became Champion Stallion at the Verden licensing in 1993. One year later in 1994 he won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses, and was runner-up in the stallion performance test. In 1995 Wolkentanz was honored as the best stallion of his age-group. Wolkentanz's offspring have been turning heads with their fantastic movements, wherever they competed or were inspected. In 2001 Wolkentanz I produced both the champion colt and filly of the German Foal Championships with both scoring perfect 10's on their gaits! Thus, Wolkentanz appears to be Weltmeyer's best producing son so far.
Didansa's damsire Lancet is a son of the well-known dressage sire Wenzel I, by Woerman. The "W" line in Hannover has also brought forth the excellent stallions Welcome, World Cup I, Western Star and Weltmeyer.
Lancet was approved by the KWPN as a three year old and after his approval he won the stallion competition two years in a row. Lancet has gone on to the highest level in dressage with rider Imke Schellekens-Bartels. The pair competed on the Dutch Olympic Team, placing 11th in the individual competition and 4th in the team competition. Lancet was the ambassador for the Dutch at the Olympic Games in Athens. Lancet competed in the Olympics in Bejing. AT the 2008 CDI London Olympia Horse Show, the KBIS Dressage Horse of the Year was awarded to Lancet, who finished fourth in the team test and seventh overall at the Olympics.
Didansa's grand dam Podansa was sired by Gribaldi.
